The Xiranth are a rather strange-looking race, not only for their features,
but for the fact that they seem to fade out slightly every now and then.
They are very small creatures, and quite thin, even considering their size.
The Xiranth generally have blue or light green tinted skin and black hair.
There is always a barely-visible aura that surrounds them, but the color of
the aura is inherited through family traits.
Traits and Abilities:
Because they are so small, these creatures are not very good fighters, but
magic is part of their nature, so it comes easily to them. The Xiranth are
multiplanar beings, which gives all of them the ability to teleport at will.
This also gives them a resistence to poisons and diseases, but since they are
partially energy, they are much more vulnerable to energy attacks, such as
lightning and sound waves.
The Xiranth are a quite unique race, in that their kind was not originally
from the mortal plane. They were created without self-awareness by the gods
to be their servants, but one particular goddess did not like the idea of
having slaves, so she granted many of them sentience. The other gods were
furious and banished her and the Xiranth to the mortal plane. Most of the
Xiranth did not want to live here, so they studied magics in an effort to
return. They were only partially successful, however, leaving them in a
state in-between. Most of them gave up and accepted their mortal state,
although a few still strive to return to the presence of the gods.
