Gnomes are small beings, rarely reaching heights of more than a meter. They
are related to Dwarves, although they are much more friendly and tolerant of
other races. Gnomes are playful and artistic, with much of their culture
revolving around creativity, such as music, food, and engineering.
Traits and Abilities:
Gnomes are not as strong as their Dwarven cousins, but much more intellient.
They also are much more talented with both offensive and healing magics, due
to the creative influences of their culture. Their increased agility and
natural ability to remain unseen allow them to be good highwaymen as well.
The history of Gnomes is rather mundane, simply being an offshoot of the
Dwarven race. Some of the intelligent Dwarves found themselves to be more
creative than the others and found themselves stifled by the rigid traditional
life of a miner. So many of them simply left to pursue more artistic ventures,
and after a few hundred generations were recognizable as being racially
distinct from Dwarves.
