Ettins are two-headed giants, and are about as strong as they are ugly.
Each head is capable of independent thought, although they usually agree,
neither one being capable of creating a coherent counterargument to the
other. Their decisions generally amount to whether to bash their victim or
decapitate him anyway, so argument is not really necessary for them.
Traits and Abilities:
They are extremely strong, making them great warriors or barbarians, but it
would be wise to never expect them to cast a spell correctly, due to their
notable lack of intelligence. They also do not evade attack, as their
immense size prohibits them from moving quickly. Ettins can be quite
persuasive, but this has nothing to do with charisma, as they have none. It
is instead their ability to coerce others into handing over anything they own
just to avoid being smashed into the ground.
Not much is known about the history of the Ettins, because even if they were
capable of remembering anything important, they would rather kill you than
share their ancestral history. What is known about them has been recorded by
others -- from far away. The Ettins were originally a race of normal giants
that were mutated by some malevolent god long ago to serve as her personal
army. Some of them wandered off, out of her reach, and made their way into
civilization, much to the dismay of anyone they encountered.
