The Cho-Ja are six-legged insectoid creatures who are small, thin and quite
agile. They have a hard shell covering their body that helps protect them.
These strange beings also have the ability to create a high quality silk and
spin it into cloth, although most do not do this, as they have no need for
Traits and Abilities:
These beings are almost certainly the fastest race that currently exists.
Because of their speed, Cho-Ja can work around an opponent's defenses and
strike them before the opponent even saw it happen, while at the same time
avoid being hit themselves. This makes the Cho-Ja excellent highwaymen, and
quite capable warriors of any kind. The Cho-Ja are vulnerable to disease,
but their hard shell makes them resistant to slashing attacks.
The Cho-Ja originally come from the mountains of Kelewan, where they lived
in a social structure very similar to their smaller insect relatives, with a
single queen leading the nest. They were the primary race of Kelewan until
humans came and conquered them. The Cho-Ja did not resist because they knew
they could not fight off the humans, but instead became trading partners,
since they could easily mine precious gems the humans wanted, while creating
their nests at the same time. They are mistakenly believed to be peaceful
creatures, but that is only the case when it suits their queen.
